April 10

Two people who live on my floor in Kokui Dorm. We walked to school together. My tutor had suggested I ask the the person in 50x if she wanted to go with me, but at the moment of knocking I forgot the room number and knocked on 50(x+1) instead, so after a couple awkward conversations in terrible Japanese I ended up with two people to go with~!

We've become very close since then.

There are horses. On campus.

A sight you'd never see in America.

Bought lunch from a convenience store on campus.

My tutors suggested this snack to me. Chocolaty and very sweet.

Spotted this through a window as I was walking across campus.

Doodles from the boring ceremony the day before.

Kyoto-tea-and-chocolate danish

To Continue from Where I Left Off: April 9

After the sleep-inducing International Student Orientation, I went back outside to discover a rainbow stretching across the sky. I took an innumberable amount of pictures trying to get a good picture, but rainbows just don't show up well on camera unless they're really colorfully bright, which this one wasn't.

Dinner at the Welcome Party

Karaoke after the party

Shopping after karaoke

In the store, you can pay to charge your phone, etc

Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing, with the drinks we just bought

Everyone together
That day sure was full of fun things. I've had lots of fun-packed days, and I'll start updating you guys on what's been happening. I have about one month left here before I head back home and then to Pittsburgh to start a new semester in America.
